Ohio’s Hospice Recognizes Volunteers for Extraordinary Service
Ohio’s Hospice recently honored more than 150 volunteers during its annual Volunteer Recognition Dinner, celebrating the individuals who support patients, families, and caregivers across the organization's service areas.
This year's Kearney Award, the organization's Volunteer of the Year recognition, was presented to Carol Polter, who contributed nearly 350 hours of volunteer service over the past year. The award is named for Dr. Walter Kearney, one of the founders of Ohio’s Hospice and a longtime champion of hospice care.
The organization also recognized volunteers celebrating milestone years of service, including Myra Leeper for 30 years of volunteer commitment. In total, more than 75 volunteers contributed over 100 hours of service during the past year, and 12 new volunteers joined the program. Ohio’s Hospice currently has more than 170 active volunteers.
Join us in congratulating Ohio’s Hospice and its volunteers for their dedication and service to patients and families across Ohio.
