2021 Visionary Leadership Award of Honor - Larry Gumina
The Visionary Leadership Award is awarded to an individual that has made an outstanding contribution in the field of aging through inspirational and visionary leadership. The 2021 Visionary Leadership Award of Honor was presented to Larry Gumina of Ohio Living.
2021 Public Service Award - Representative Scott Oelslager
The LeadingAge Ohio Public Service Award is bestowed as deserved to those legislators that emerge as leaders in the aging sector and show a commitment to taking on the issues most important to older adults and aging services providers in Ohio. The 2021 Public Service Awards was presented to Representative Scott Oelslager.
2021 Heart of Hospice Rose and Sam Stein Award - Jennifer Stonebrook, Hospice of the Western Reserve
Named in honor of long-time hospice supporters Rose & Sam Stein, the Heart of Hospice Award honors an organization or individual who: makes a significant contribution to the community, patients and families, and the hospice organization; develops new and innovative ways to accomplish and improve teamwork and deliver exceptional hospice and palliative care services; helps other groups, team members and organizational members, go beyond the call of duty; or, is a resource for other groups and programs locally, regionally and statewide. This year’s Heart of Hospice Award was presented to Jennifer Stonebrook of the Hospice of the Western Reserve.
2021 Excellence in Volunteer Service Award (Individual) - Sister Marguerite Lamberjack
The Excellence in Volunteer Service Award is awarded to an individual or group whose exemplary volunteer service plays a critical role enriching the lives of those served by a LeadingAge Ohio member organization. This year’s Excellence in Volunteer Service Award for an individual was presented to Sister Marguerite Lamberjack of Ohio Living Home Health & Hospice.

The Excellence in Volunteer Service Award is awarded to an individual or group whose exemplary volunteer service plays a critical role enriching the lives of those served by a LeadingAge Ohio member organization. This year’s Excellence in Volunteer Service Award for a group was presented to Ohio’s Hospice Nursing Honor Guard.
2021 Excellence in Pandemic Innovation Award - Michael Gray
The Excellence in Pandemic Innovation Award is awarded to a LeadingAge Ohio member organization displaying innovation through the implementation of a practice or activity which contributes significantly to the quality of life of the individuals served. This year’s Excellence in Pandemic Innovation Award was presented to Michael Gray of Eliza Jennings.
2021 Excellence in Caring Award - Kelly Rose
The Excellence in Caring Award is awarded to an outstanding direct or indirect care professional(s) within a LeadingAge Ohio member organization who exemplifies quality and care in the field of aging services. This year’s Excellence in Caring Award was presented to Kelly Rose of Shepherd of the Valley.
2021 Emerging Leader Award - Debra Durbin, United Church Homes Chapel Hill
The Emerging Leader Award is bestowed to an individual(s) within a LeadingAge Ohio member organization who demonstrates personal integrity, leadership, and professional dedication in his or her career. This year’s Emerging Leader Award was presented to Debra Durbin of United Church Homes Chapel Hill Community.
