ODA Announces PACE Awards
This afternoon, the DeWine administration announced the selected providers for the Program of All-Inclusive Care for the Elderly (PACE) expansion in Ohio.
The following providers were selected following a thorough, competitive bidding process. They will operate PACE programs in seven new service areas across the state, including one area focused on rural communities:
- Franklin County: AcuteCare Health System LLC
- Hamilton County: TriHealth G, LLC
- Lorain County: McGregor PACE
- Lucas County: AcuteCare Health System LLC
- Montgomery County: AcuteCare Health System LLC
- Summit County: McGregor PACE
- (Service area focused on rural communities) Ashtabula, Mahoning, and Trumbull counties: LIFE Northwestern Pennsylvania, LLC
The administration cites Ohio's PACE expansion as among the largest currently underway nationwide, supported by $50 million in ARPA funding from House Bill 45 of the 134th General Assembly. Previously, LAO member, McGregor, held the sole PACE site in Cuyahoga county. Among the awardees are LeadingAge Ohio members McGregor PACE and TriHealth (Hospice of Cincinnati and HOC Navigators).
PACE is a fully capitated health insurance model, and most of the participants who are in PACE are dually eligible for both Medicare and Medicaid. For more information, visit the Ohio Department of Aging's PACE website here.
