Ohio Medicaid will be transitioning to PDPM for its case mix calculation in October 2023.  The importance of accurately coding the true clinical status of residents will become even more crucial with the transition to PDPM for Medicaid.  Join us for these webinars created specifically to provide attendees with the knowledge interdisciplinary teams can use to operationalize success.

Each webinar is a separate virtual event. Registration is required for each.

 

Part 3: Speech-Language Pathology

The speech language pathology is one complex component of PDPM containing elements which could be misinterpreted and lead to issues with coding, denials, and inaccurate care planning. This webinar will cover coding elements used to qualify for the speech component, coding scenarios, and keys to improve collaboration between dietary and speech therapy.  Helpful tips will be shared to improve understanding of terminology, facilitate increased collaboration, and improve MDS accuracy/outcomes for the resident.

Substitution and Cancellation Policy: Substitutions, in writing, are welcome at no additional cost. Cancellations received by two calendar weeks prior to event date will be fully refunded. Cancellations received between 7 and 13 days prior to the event date will be refunded minus a $40 processing fee. No refunds will be issued 6 or fewer days prior to the event date.

Continuing Education Information

1.0 clock hours will be awarded upon successful completion.

1.2 CPE hours will be awarded upon successful completion.

Criteria for successful completion: Attendance at entire event and submission of completed evaluation form.
