LeadingAge Ohio Awards Program

Eligibility

The LeadingAge Ohio Annual Awards honor individuals and organizations that embody excellence in aging services leadership, are models of quality and innovation, and are making outstanding contributions to our field that merit recognition.

LeadingAge Ohio member organizations and/or individuals associated with them are eligible for consideration. 

Application process

How to Submit a Nomination

Nominations for the LeadingAge Ohio Awards program will open likely in late winter, typically March.  Award submissions will occur online.   

The LeadingAge Ohio Awards Committee will review nominations and make selections for awards, notifying nominees of decisions in late May so honorees can make plans to attend the LeadingAge Ohio Annual Conference and Trade Show in Columbus, Ohio -  typically held in late August. The awards celebration features a video presentation of award winners, who will be contacted by LeadingAge Ohio staff for photos, news releases and additional elements of the awards program.

Entry Form Prep Tips

#1: Click on the criteria for each award category below to view the requirements to help compose your answer.  You may find it helpful to compose your answer offline, then cut and paste into the online form when ready to submit your entry. 

#2: In your answer, provide concrete examples of leadership, innovation, achievement and impact, as applicable, that supports your statement about why the nominee merits recognition.  

#3: Finally, save a copy of what you have written for your records.

Award Selection Process

The LeadingAge Ohio Awards Committee will review nominations and make selections for awards, notifying nominees of decisions in late May so honorees can make plans to attend the LeadingAge Ohio Annual Conference and Trade Show in Columbus, Ohio. The awards celebration features a video presentation of award winners, who will be contacted by LeadingAge Ohio staff for photos, news releases and additional elements of the awards program.

Even though not every entry will receive an award, all nominations are carefully considered and often lead to additional opportunities to “tell the story” of member accomplishments through such avenues as our website, media outreach, education events and other means.

The committee reserves the right to move nominations to different categories to consider them where they best fit.  To celebrate this achievement, those programs/individuals that have been selected will be asked to create a two minute video sharing your thoughts and congratulations around receiving this honor. 

Video Requirement for Award Winners
IF selected for the award, winners are asked to create a 90-120 second video sharing your thoughts and congratulations around receiving the honor. 

We encourage you to take a moment to review some of the videos that were submitted for past winners to get some ideas.
