CMS Releases Proposed 2026 Physician Payment Rule

The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) has released its proposed rule for the 2026 Physician Fee Schedule (PFS), which outlines Medicare payment policies and related Part B issues for the coming year.

LeadingAge is closely reviewing the proposal and preparing comments on behalf of members. Key provisions under review include payment updates with Physician Fee and related Part B policy issues, telehealth flexibilities, and the Medicare Shared Savings Program.

The proposed rule is open for public comment through September 12, 2025. Aging services providers are encouraged to review the provisions and consider submitting comments.
