LeadingAge Ohio Testifies Before State Senate Finance Committee Ahead of Substitute Budget Bill Release

On May 29, LeadingAge Ohio testified on changes and amendments we would like to see in the Senate’s substitute version of the biennial budget, House Bill 96, which is set to be unveiled on June 2. Priorities that LAO advocated on before the Senate Finance Committee included:

  • Updating Ohio’s PDPM case mix adjustment;
  • Reversing House changes to the private room add-on;
  • A proposal to change the way the capital portion of the reimbursement formula is calculated to improve environmental quality;
  • Increasing hospice pass-through payments above the current 95 percent;
  • Adding approved direct care occupations to the state’s Individual Micro-credential Assistance Program (IMPA); and
  • Restoring funding to the Ohio Housing Trust Fund.
