In the News: Ohio Nursing Home Medicaid Lawsuit
Last week, the Ohio Supreme Court ordered to mediation the pending lawsuit over nursing facility quality payments, a first step towards facilitating a resolution of the dispute between the Department of Medicaid and Ohio’s three nursing home associations. The dispute arises from the calculation of funding included in HB33, which required 60 percent of additional Medicaid funding to be channeled into the quality incentive payment (QIP) portion of the nursing home rate.
The move drew attention from industry press and state news bureaus alike:
