ODH Seeking Nominees for Parkinson's Disease Registry Advisory Committee

The General Assembly recently passed a law (HB 33-135th GA) creating a Parkinson’s Disease Registry and a Parkinson’s Disease Registry Advisory Committee (PDRAC). The advisory committee is tasked in law with assisting the Director of the Ohio Department of Health (ODH) in the development and implementation of the registry, and advising the Director on maintaining and improving the registry.

“The Ohio Department of Health is seeking nominees who are interested in being considered for appointment to the PDRAC in one of the designated categories,” said ODH Director Bruce Vanderhoff, MD, MBA.

Under the new law, the PDRAC will consist of at least nine members appointed by the ODH Director and includes:

The PDRAC will meet at the call of the Chairperson, but not less than twice annually. It is authorized in law to meet in-person or virtually at the discretion of the Chairperson.

If you are interested in being considered for appointment to the PDRAC, submit your CV to Helen.Pilla@odh.ohio.gov by Friday, October 13 and indicate in the email which designated category you would represent.
