LeadingAge, along with national association partners, met with the White House Domestic Policy Council (DPC) on September 18 to discuss concerns with the proposed implementation of the hospice special focus program. LeadingAge shared its general support for the program but also highlighted crucial flaws in the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services’ (CMS) proposed algorithm that had been outlined in a previous comment letter.
LeadingAge will continue to advocate for a fair and transparent special focus program for hospice programs. Questions or comments may be directed to Molly Gurian, VP of Home-based Care at mgurian@leadingage.org.
