Don't Leave Money on the Table:
2021 QIP Collaborative

Webinar collaborative on the 3rd Thursday of each month
October 2021 through March 2022.

Two Cohorts:
Cohort #1: 11:00 AM - 12:00 PM
Cohort #2: 1:00 PM - 2:00 PM

Cohorts based on preference and capacity.
Efforts will be made to group multi-site organizations in same Cohort, to avoid duplication for regional staff.
Teams will be notified of their Cohort no later than October 12.

 

Nursing Home providers will learn how the Quality Incentive Payment (QIP) is calculated for Ohio Medicaid reimbursement and how to manage and improve the quality measures to improve their reimbursement opportunities. Each month will cover financial measures and provide tools and education to improve processes and outcomes that will impact the quality measures. Interactive discussions will be included to assist members with best practices and useful tips, tactics and resources.

Overview and Goals

This session will include review of Quality Incentive Payment calculation, the FY2022 & FY2023 Budget for QIP, review of lowest percentile points and how to set goals to achieve number of points necessary to receive QIP.  Methodology used in calculating quality measures through the minimum data set will be discussed.  Facility level data and plan for ongoing monitoring will be reviewed.

November 18, 2021

Performance Improvement Plan Review

This session will include a review of the second and third quarter quality measures identified in the Quality Incentive Payment.  Key financial metrics and facility level data will be reviewed and performance improvement plans for the quality measures will be discussed.  Lessons learned will be shared and discussed.  

Session 3

December 16, 2021

Lead Measure Review

This session will review performance improvement plans for the quality incentive payment. Barriers identified from the performance improvement plan will be shared. Key financial metrics and facility level data will be reviewed. Lead measure development will be discussed.   Lessons learned will be shared and discussed. 

Session 4

January 20, 2022

Lag Measure Review

This session will review performance improvement plans for the quality incentive payment. Lead measurement results will be shared. Key financial metrics and lag measures including the quality measures will be reviewed. Lessons learned will be discussed.

Session 5

February 17, 2022

Annual Review

This session will review annual quality measure results for the quality incentive payment. The performance improvement plans, key financial metrics and facility level data will be reviewed. Lessons learned will be discussed.

Session 6

March 17, 2022

Final Projection

This session will include review of the Quality Incentive Payment calculation. Current and projected facility level key financial metrics will be reviewed. Final action steps for the 2022 first quarter performance improvement plan will be shared. Lessons learned and ongoing plans will be discussed.

Continuing Education for Each Session:
1.0 clock hours will be awarded upon successful completion.  Pending BELTSS approval.

1.2 CPE hours will be awarded upon successful completion.

Criteria for successful completion: Attendance at entire event and submission of completed evaluation form.

Cancellations received between 7 and 13 days prior to the event date will be refunded minus a $40 processing fee. No refunds will be issued 6 or fewer days prior to the event date.
