LeadingAge Ohio Testifies for EVV

On November 17, LeadingAge Ohio testified at the Ohio Department of Medicaid’s (ODM) public hearing on the proposed Electronic Visit Verification (EVV) rule 5160-1-40.

LeadingAge Ohio was one of nearly twenty (20) oral testimonies offered by several other providers including LeadingAge Ohio members, Home Care Network, Inc. and National Church Residences.  Primary among LeadingAge Ohio’s concerns was the administrative burden placed on providers by the EVV rules.  Home Care Network Inc and National Church Residences offered examples of how the EVV rules would impact a provider’s ability to effectively provide care and ensure operational viability. LeadingAge Ohio along with the other stakeholders asked ODM to reconsider how the rules are being implemented and suggested more education be required regarding the EVV system for the consumers and providers.

LeadingAge Ohio will continue to work to ensure that members concerns are voiced.  If you have any questions regarding the EVV hearing or rules, please contact Anne Shelley at ashelley@leadingageohio.org.
