Mid-Ohio Food Collective Faces $3 Million State Funding Cut
The cut will force the organization to reduce supply by 5 million pounds this year
The Mid-Ohio Food Collective (MOFC) says it will distribute significantly less food to its partner agencies across the state following a $3 million cut in state funding over the next two years.
The organization, which supports 600 food pantries and meal programs across Ohio, said the loss in funding will reduce the amount of food it can provide by 5 million pounds this year alone.
Mike Hochron with the Mid-Ohio Food Collective said the impact is already visible.
