About The Organization:

The Building Industry Association (BIA) of Central Ohio is dedicated to supporting the residential construction industry and fostering the creation of vibrant communities in our growing region. By championing housing creation and innovation, it shapes the future of the Central Ohio region. The organization is seeking a part-time bookkeeper to join its dynamic team and play a vital role in ensuring its financial and operational success.

Position Overview:

The part-time bookkeeper will provide essential financial support to our organization, managing daily accounting operations and assisting with data management. This role requires approximately 20-25 hours per week, with flexible work hours to accommodate the candidate’s schedule. If you have strong experience in QuickBooks and Excel and a solid understanding of database and CRM systems, BIA wants to hear from you!

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records using QuickBooks.
  • Process accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely payments and deposits.
  • Reconcile bank statements and monitor financial accounts for accuracy.
  • Prepare monthly financial reports and assist with budgeting processes.
  • Collaborate with leadership to ensure compliance with financial policies and procedures.
  • Support membership data tracking and reporting within our CRM system.
  • Create and manage spreadsheets for reporting and data analysis using Excel.
  • Assist with periodic audits and tax preparation as needed.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Proficiency in QuickBooks (3+ years experience preferred).
  • Strong skills in Microsoft Excel, including formulas, pivot tables and data analysis.
  • Familiarity with database management and CRM systems.
  • Prior bookkeeping experience in a non-profit or association environment preferred.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines with minimal supervision.
  • Friendly, service-oriented approach to work.
