Hiring a Pharmacist in Charge (PIC) for C&R Pharmacy in West Liberty, Ohio. We are looking for a pharmacist with the knowledge, skills and ability to run the day-to-day operation, manage staff, ensure compliance with state and federal regulations, maintain the medication inventory and provide leadership short and long-tern growth of the business, all the while ensure the pharmacy provides high level patient care. A Pharmacist in Charge (PIC) is a licensed pharmacist who is responsible for the overall operation of a pharmacy. As a PIC, they must also be knowledgeable in the latest developments in the field of pharmacy and be able to apply this knowledge to the operation of their pharmacy. They also must possess strong leadership and management skills. The PIC's role is critical to the success of a pharmacy.. This includes making sure that the pharmacy is profitable, while also providing high-quality care to patients. They must also be able to work closely with other healthcare professionals, such as physicians and nurses, to ensure that patients receive the best possible care. In addition to managing the pharmacy, PICs also have a responsibility to the community. They must be aware of the health needs of the community and work to promote public health. This may include educating patients on how to use their medications safely, or working with other healthcare professionals to address public health issues. of pharmacy and be able to apply this knowledge to the operation of their pharmacy. Responsibilities & Duties • Supervise and manage pharmacy staff, technician, and support personnel • Ensure compliance with all state and federal pharmacy laws and regulations • Oversee medication dispensing processes to ensure accuracy and patient safety • Manage the pharmacy's inventory and ensure proper storage of medications • Develop and implement policies and procedures for pharmacy operations • Provide clinical consultations and advice to patients and healthcare providers • Handle and resolve customer complaints or issues in a professional manner • Conduct regular audits to ensure adherence to protocols and standards • Maintain records of all transactions and ensure proper documentation • Coordinate with healthcare providers to optimize patient care plans • Educate and mentor pharmacy staff on best practices and new developments • Monitor the performance metrics and financial health of the pharmacy • Participate in community outreach and educational programs • Ensure the proper handling and disposal of hazardous materials • Stay updated with the latest developments in pharmacy practice and healthcare Qualifications & Skills • Master's or Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree • Experience in a leadership or supervisory role in a pharmacy setting • Strong knowledge of pharmacy software systems and technology • Excellent verbal and written communication skills • Proven ability to manage a team effectively • Experience with regulatory compliance and quality assurance processes • Advanced problem-solving and decision-making skills • Ability to work well under pressure and handle multiple tasks simultaneously • Strong customer service orientation • Pharmacist license in good standing, with the appropriate state board of pharmacy • Strong understanding of pharmacology, therapeutics, and pharmaceutical calculations • Commitment to ongoing professional development • Knowledge of state and federal regulations governing pharmacy practice
