LeadingAge Ohio Board Approves 2019-2021 Strategic Plan

Robert Kramer, Founder and Strategic Advisor of the National Investment Center, addressed the LeadingAge Ohio Board of Directors at its May 16 meeting, encouraging the board to consider and understand disruptive forces affecting aging services today and into the future.  His comments provided a rich framework from which the Board could evaluate how best to launch the 2019 - 2021 LeadingAge Ohio Strategic Plan.

While the Board of Directors officially approved the 2019 - 2021 LeadingAge Ohio Strategic Plan at its February meeting, a condensed version was requested. The one-page document is intended to provide a concise way of communicating the association’s strategic priorities for the next three years: it provides direction, illuminates the challenges faced by aging services providers and outlines goals and initiatives underway for 2019-2021.

“LeadingAge Ohio supports mission-driven values-based providers adjusting to a rapidly changing environment,” said LeadingAge Ohio Board Chairman Rev. Kenneth Daniel. “Our strategy keeps the changing needs of our members at the forefront of our own planning.  We want to provide technical and clinical support as well as strategic support as our members navigate this evolving industry.”

“Many members report that advocacy is one of the main reasons that they join LeadingAge Ohio,” explained former LeadingAge Ohio Board Chairman Judy Budi. “The 2019-2021 Strategic Plan continues to place advocacy at the forefront of our strategic goals while also recognizing the importance of workforce, technology, innovation and education for members. The association continues to work hard to provide member value and promote the needs of aging services providers. There are many challenges and opportunities in the future, and the networking, support, and education I have with other LeadingAge members is priceless.”

The one-page document can be used a resource for LeadingAge Ohio members when speaking with public officials, other aging services providers and even those served by member organizations.

The complete 2019 - 2021 LeadingAge Ohio Strategic Plan and the one-page condensed version of the Strategic Plan (both standard and ADA compliant versions) are available.
