Brod Testifies on HB 166 Budget Bill

This week, LeadingAge Ohio President and CEO Kathryn Brod testified before the House Subcommittee on Health and Human Services on HB 166, the biennial budget bill. Brod spoke to the workforce challenges that aging services providers are facing in nursing facilities as well as home care, as well as opportunities to “plug holes” in the existing system of long-term services and supports, like increasing funding for the underused assisted living waiver. Brod also shared members’ growing losses due to sluggish Medicaid eligibility determination.
