Full Time Position Located in Archbold, Ohio
Overview: Incorporated in 1961 and opened in 1964, Fairlawn Haven Nursing Home, now known as Fairlawn Retirement Community, in Archbold Ohio, has grown to serve over 400 residents with 214 employees on a 32.53 acre campus. There are an additional 20 acres of adjacent farmland owned by Fairlawn. Founded by local Mennonite churches, approximately 25% of the campus population is of the Mennonite tradition.
Services are provided through three corporate entities: Fairlawn Haven, Fairlawn Inc., and Fairlawn Apartments. Living options include skilled care, memory care, skilled rehab, unlicensed assisted living, market rate independent living (all equity/entrance fee model), and USDA Rural Development affordable housing. The organization has an outstanding community and regional reputation, strong occupancy history, strong church and community support, and a healthy balance sheet.
Campus amenities include Fairlawn Chapel, Wyse Commons (gathering space, walking track, exercise equipment, warm water pool, library, café), large wood shop, golf chip/putt area, Therapy water garden, active resident groups, and supportive auxiliary. Archbold community residents (55+) may purchase Wyse Commons memberships and use related services. Fairlawn has program/member partnerships with Fulton County Health Center and Fusion Health and Fitness Center, offering health and fitness classes.
The Fairlawn Campus has a smoke-free policy, which includes the nursing home, assisted living, USDA Apartments, Wyse Commons and Haven Apartments. Employees and Guests are not allowed to smoke on campus. All independent living units, except the USDA rental units, have enclosed parking. There are three company vehicles used for resident transportation and one for maintenance.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree;
- LNHA License in Ohio is required;
- Strong background in Long-Term Care Facility Regulations;
- Experience required overseeing operations of a Senior Care Campus;
- Responsible for all levels of care;
- High level of computer skills is required;
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills are required.
