In light of the Coronavirus/COVID-19 pandemic, the protocols/guidelines/recommendations from national, state and local authorities, and our concern for our members and partners, LeadingAge Ohio has decided to postpone the Home Health & Hospice Palmetto Updates event scheduled for March 17.
We plan to reschedule this event in the near future, and additional correspondence will come from me in the coming weeks.
We wanted to make you aware of this postponement as soon as possible and we certainly appreciate your understanding of this decision. LeadingAge Ohio will keep you posted as new plans unfold, and it is our sincere hope that you will be able to participate when the event is rescheduled.
This workshop will provide an update of Palmetto procedures related to home health and hospice Medicare
billing and clinical documentation requirements. Each industry-specific session will address these issues. All
providers are encouraged to attend as the latest industry updates will be addressed.

- Nurses and other healthcare professionals that submit claims to Medicare.
This workshop will provide insight for new, intermediate or advanced staff.

Home Health Review Choice Demonstration
Workshop Update
1:00 p.m. - 3:00 p.m.
The goal of the five year Review Choice Demonstration (RCD) is to help assist in developing procedures for the identification, investigation, and prosecution of potential Medicare fraud. During this session, HHAs will learn what it takes to be successful during the demonstration. Find out how the state of Ohio scored during cycle 1 and how to have a smooth transition to cycle 2. We will also discuss common errors/mistakes and best practices.

Additional Information/Continuing Education
Substitutions/Cancellation Policy: Substitutions, in writing, are welcome at no additional cost. Cancellations received by two calendar weeks prior to event date will be fully refunded. Cancellations received between 7 and 13 days prior to the event date will be refunded minus a $40 procession fee. No refunds will be issued 6 or fewer days prior to the event date.
Criteria for successful completion: Attendance at entire session. Prorated contact hours will be considered in special circumstances, as allowed by your professional board.
No conflict of interest exists for any individual in a position to control the content of the educational activity.
