Larksfield Place, a five-star, stand alone, not-for-profit continuing care retirement community is seeking a Chief Executive Officer.  Located in Wichita, Kansas, Larksfield Place is the only senior living community in the area offering a 360 continuum of care on its campus and is focused on providing superior service to its 400 residents.  The community’s health care center is considered one of the top 70 in the nation and prides itself on being the only senior living organization in the state to receive a five-star rating in every single category. Larksfield Place is truly a premier place to live and to work, striving every day to enrich the lives of discerning older adults by providing a distinctive lifestyle with outstanding health and wellness services.  Residents are served by a dedicated staff of 325 employees and has annual revenue of $24 million.

Reporting to the Board of Directors, the CEO will have overall strategic and operational responsibility for Larksfield Place’s staff, programs, expansion, and execution of its mission.  Responsible for all components of this quality-driven senior living provider, the finalist candidate will possess both the leadership qualities and management skills necessary to uphold the organization’s ongoing success at providing the highest quality of care and services. 

The ideal candidate will be an accomplished and experienced executive who has gained experience preferably within a senior living/healthcare setting similar to Larksfield Place.  A successful track record of team engagement is critical. The finalist candidate must possess vision, as well as proven strengths in strategic planning to ensure Larksfield Place is well positioned to compete effectively and meet the needs of the community it serves.  (S)he will be highly visible and engaged with area businesses and community organizations and will be recognized as a community leader.  To ensure the continued provision of high-quality services, the CEO will possess a track record of proactively developing open, positive working relationships with co-workers and a high level of transparency with a Board of Directors.  Bachelor’s degree or equivalent; or six to ten years related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience required.  Master’s degree preferred.
