Brief Member Survey: Open Positions

This is a reminder that the brief member survey on open positions first sent out to members on Thursday, December 16 will close this Friday, January 7, 2022. 

Whether we point to “the great resignation”, the vaccine mandate, or other factors, workforce is the top issue facing every LeadingAge Ohio member. This summer, many of you provided data for a pulse survey on costs and staffing deployed by Scripps that strengthened our advocacy voice (cited in stories appearing in Gongwer News, Cleveland Plain Dealer, and more). Now, the LeadingAge Ohio Board of Directors has asked that we develop a quarterly pulse survey on open positions so that our advocacy is always informed by the latest data.  

There are five questions and a request for contact information:

• How many open positions did you have as of 9/1/2021? (If data is available)
• How many full-time employees did you budget for as of 9/1/2021? (If data is available)
• How many open positions did you have as of 12/1/2021?
• How many full-time employees are you budgeted for as of 12/1/2021?
• In which area are you having the most difficulty filling positions?
• Dietary
  Environmental Services (Maintenance, Grounds)
  Housekeeping/Laundry
  Security
  Clinical (Nursing)
  Clinical (STNAs)
  Administrative (billing)
  Administrative (LNHA)
  Social workers
  For housing providers:  Property Managers

Responses are confidential and will be reported in the aggregate only, so will not be identifiable to individual providers. 

In order for us to send this to the same person in the next quarter, we ask that the responder include his/her email address. The next time we send the survey, we’ll send directly to this individual.
