ODJFS Now Reporting Elder Abuse on Statewide System

The Ohio Department of Job and Family Services (ODJFS) has launched a statewide system for reporting and tracking cases of elder abuse and neglect.

“It is unfortunate that this system is necessary, but it will help us make more informed decisions and improve transparency and accountability,” ODJFS Director Kimberly Hall said in a statement. “Future enhancements will allow us to further reduce duplication, improve reporting capabilities, and allow Ohio’s citizens to submit referrals online.”

The Ohio Database for Adult Protective Services (ODAPS) is a tool for county JFS offices that receive reports of elder abuse and neglect. For a complete article on the changes, click here.
