Description: This continuing nursing education activity is designed to provide an overview of Ohio’s ORC/OAC Chapter 4723 nursing rules and laws related to scope of practice and professional boundaries. An interactive discussion on the ethical application of a practitioner’s professional boundaries will be included, a topic of particular interest given the recent pandemic and the evolution of social media into both the consumer’s and the healthcare professional’s everyday worlds (and workplaces). This session will also include a review of several lesser-known Ohio Administrative Code rules for nurses in the state of Ohio that influence everyday practice.
This activity meets the Ohio Board of Nursing requirement for Category A criteria for education directly related to Chapter 4723 of the Ohio Revised Code.

The ltcGAIN Program provides focused curriculum for RNs and LPNs in long-term care facilities to enhance communications for accurate, effective and confident assessment and reporting of the conditions of the long-term residents in your facilities. STNA's will gain valuable insight into assessment and communication standards across nursing practices. The overall goal is to improve the residents' healthcare and reduce unnecessary hospitalizations and emergency room visits.
