Ohio Medicaid Delays Release of SFY 2020 Rates

On Sunday, June 30, the Governor signed SB 171, an interim operating budget that will extend Ohio’s biennial budget negotiations by 17 days. The budget will permit all state services to continue without any delays or funding concerns and allows the Conference Committee on HB 166 additional time to reconcile differences between the House and Senate versions of the budget bill.

Today, the Ohio Department of Medicaid (ODM) announced that nursing facility rates for state fiscal year 2020, originally scheduled to take effect today (July 1), will be delayed pending the passage of HB 166.
