Medical Deductions and PABs Saved!

House and Senate Republicans reached a deal today on the final provisions of the Tax bill.  Preliminary reports indicate that some of the most controversial provisions of the House tax bill related to education and health such as the repeal of the medical deduction and private activity bonds were not included in the final version.  Other provisions include a slightly higher corporate tax rate of 21 percent compared to the House and Senate passed versions and a lower individual rate of 37 percent.  More details are expected within the week.  LeadingAge Ohio will continue to keep members informed.  Thank you to LeadingAge Ohio advocates who have responded to near-weekly calls for action on the House and Senate versions of the bill.
