Vice President Operations (Small House Neighborhoods)

SUMMARY
Assure successful operations of the existing Neighborhoods and start-up of the new Neighborhoods.  Lead Neighborhood Operations Leadership team.  Establish strategic objectives and annual business plans for each neighborhood that is consistent with Otterbein’s strategic direction. Develop and implement strategies and tactics for post-acute rehabilitation. 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Champion the liberation of elders and those who serve them from the mindset of institutional care
  • Insure processes and systems are developed and monitored to meet/exceed operational metrics such as quality, financial, customer, family and partner satisfaction
  • Develop and implement strategies for neighborhood growth as part of the overall Otterbein strategy
  • Select and develop high performing staff members
  • Member of and/or report to Board committee(s).
  • Speak at workshops and community organizations regarding the Neighborhood model

Skills Required:

  • Proven results in challenging and changing the status quo
  • Ability to create and implement strategic and tactical plans that deliver high quality, census and revenue growth in a long-term care environment
  • Must be able to communicate in English.
  • Must be able to cope with mental and emotional stress related to working with persons who are ill, disabled, elderly and/or emotional upset
  • Excellent literacy and writing, documentation, communications and interpersonal abilities.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree required; Masters, preferred.
  • Ohio Licensed Nursing Home Administrator, preferred
  • Solid clinical knowledge and/or nursing background desired
  • Minimum 10 years’ of Operations leadership experience, i.e. experience in managing multiple sites or business units, a large CCRC and/or nursing home or other long term care environments
  • Experience leading a start-up or upgrade to existing facilities strongly desired
