Life Enrichment Coordinator 

Full-Time. Monday - Friday. 

Job Responsibilities

  • Reviews resident activity needs on a regular basis and plans appropriate programs to meet those needs
  • Provides a well-rounded variety of programming
  • Schedules individual one to one visits for those residents uninterested or incapable of group activities
  • Provides written and/or oral reports of activities/events as required
  • Creates the activity calendar and schedules entertainment for the enjoyment of the residents.
  • Monitors daily activities to maintain quality control standards
  • Completes an activity assessment on each new resident
  • Records activity progress notes in resident charts
  • Attends and participates in Care Plan conferences
  • Supervises staff, interns and volunteers in the Assisted Living, Skilled and Memory Care
  • Provides staff with schedule and daily assignments, holds regular staff meetings
  • Tracks staff attendance and completes time edits
  • Orients and trains staff as needed
  • Monitors the Assisted Living, Skilled, and Memory Care areas
  • Maintains budget for Assisted Living, Skilled, and Memory Care Activities Departments, purchases supplies as needed
  • Attends orientation, staff and in-service meetings
  • Keeps up to date on federal and state regulations, company policies
  • Reports any concerns to Executive Director of Wesley Woods
  • Must maintain skills necessary to safely and efficiently operate equipment and machines used in performance of this job including, but not limited to, the telephone, computer, kitchen and domestic supplies and various other equipment and supplies
  • Helps maintain an environment that is safe, clean, and orderly
  • Familiar with and adheres to employee handbook
  • Perform other duties as assigned, job location as assigned

Job Requirements

  • Activity Director Certification, CTRS, or MEPAP certification is required.
  • College degree required
  • Basic First Aide Training
  • Must be willing to drive the community bus/van – no CDL required
  • Must have a minimum of two (2) years experience in geriatrics, recreation or social administration.
  • Prior supervisory experience
  • Good communication skills, self-motivation and creative abilities necessary
