Director of Health Care Services
The Director of Health Care Services is a newly created position at Walnut Hills, a continuing care community located in Walnut Creek, Ohio (in Holmes County’s Amish Country). The individual in this position will be responsible for directing all nursing services on our campus, ensuring high quality clinical care for residents at our nursing home and assisted living facility. This person will work closely with the Executive Director, nursing department supervisors, and other team members to redesign the structure, positions, and job duties of the department. This person will also be part of analyzing the need for and implementing new services for Independent Living residents on campus for them to successfully age in place.
The Director of Health Care Services will lead the process of scheduling, hiring, and training nursing staff, will oversee the daily clinical care of residents, and ensure the facilities meet state and federal requirements. The Director of Health Care Services will play a key role in the implementation of new policies and procedures required under the new Rules of Participation. This person will also be part of quality improvement and performance improvement initiatives on campus.
The Director of Health Care Services is a full-time, salaried position. The person will be part of the management team.
This position requires an RN with prior management experience, preferably in a senior service setting such as a retirement community, skilled nursing facility, assisted living, or home health care. Successful candidates should be able to demonstrate a passion for serving older adults and commitment to culture change. Candidates should have a history of operating in a complex system, have experience with large scale change, and be able to connect with and lead a team successfully.
