Summary

The VPHR is the organization’s executive Human Resource leader, and as such directs and manages all human resource functions and departmental personnel to align with and accomplish Christian Village Communities’ strategic business plan objectives and mission.

The successful candidate will be a high energy self-starter who excels with regard to work ethic, eagerly accepting responsibility for job duties, possessing a strong customer service orientation with a view that their primary customers include the organization’s residents, patients, family members and staff.  They will be a strategic thinker and aggressively execute corporate policies in order to achieve CVC’s HR goals.

The VPHR will possess the ability to “see the facility and operation through the eyes of our customers”, and model this high standard for all staff.

Qualifications

The VPHR must have a minimum of five years in a human resource key management and leadership role for an organization with at least 100 employees.  Experience in the senior services and healthcare industry is a plus, preferably in the setting of a Life Plan Community/Continuing Care Retirement Community.  Comprehensive knowledge of and experience with state and federal labor regulations, personnel administration, employee relations, compensation and benefits administration, recruiting and selection, training and development is critical.

The VPHR will be an excellent interpersonal, organizational, written and verbal communicator.

We expect that candidates for this position will possess experience with human resource information systems, database management and payroll software.

The VPHR will possess a minimum of a bachelor’s level degree in the Human Resource or another relevant field. SPHR and/or SHRM-SCP certification(s) preferred.
